Here’s our very own Jake at the Bedford PechaKucha Night in June talking about his illustration.
PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture. The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in their gallery/lounge/bar/club/creative kitchen, SuperDeluxe, in February, 2003.

We believe in supporting the local community and we have recently been involved helping to promote the Bedford Junior Blues RUFC and it’s mission to get local youngsters from all backgrounds involved in the sport. We have lent design support to the steeering committee and produced a number of marketing elements to help them promote to a wider audience through events such as the Famous Bedford River Festival.

At One we believe in developing future talent and have had a strong relationship with Bedford College and it’s art and design department for many years. We set a couple of projects a year for students to get involved in and experience a real life project . We give helpful advice for them to develop their ideas and encourage students to discuss and present their ideas back to us when complete. We also take on work experience students from design courses who wish to experience the daily life of a busy studio and expand their experience.
